Choosing bodyboard size
Choose your bodyboard based on height:
- 27" (Nippers) - children up to ~1.20m
- 36" - children/teens up to ~1.40m
- 40" - teenagers up to ~1.60m
- 42" - adults up to ~1.75m
- 45" - taller bodyboarders 1.75m+

Frequently asked questions about bodyboards

As a beginner, choose a board that fits your height (see above) from an entry-level series such as the Vision Spark. These boards have enough volume for stability and are durable enough to take a beating.

Yes, swimfins are essential! They give you the power to catch waves and manoeuvre. Without fins, effective bodyboarding is almost impossible. Choose fins in your normal shoe size.

EPS (expanded polystyrene) is lighter and more flexible, ideal for beginners and warm water. XPS (extruded polystyrene) is denser and stiffer, better for cooler water and experienced riders who want more control.
